Michael Bonassar D.C.

From Connecticut roots to sunny Florida, Dr. Michael Bonassar’s academic journey took him from Connecticut to the warmth of South Florida, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Miami in 2006. Dr. Mike continued his education by enrolling at Georgetown University, where he earned a Master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics. This experience enhanced his knowledge of how bodily systems interact, leading him to adopt a broader approach to patient care beyond conventional methods.

The journey then continued in St. Petersburg, Florida at National University of Health Sciences (NUHS), where Dr. Mike embraced the challenge of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. In tandem with this rigorous training, he also became accredited in acupuncture, blending modern techniques with ancient practices. This fusion of modern and traditional healing techniques became the backbone of his treatment model—an approach that prioritizes addressing underlying causes rather than just symptoms. His integrated healthcare regime combines conventional and alternative therapies, suggesting that a multifaceted treatment plan is key to long-term well-being.

Off the clock, Dr. Mike values time with his wife and loves the lively chaos of family life, caring for his children, Mars and Rayla, and playing with his dog, Amy, and cats, Loki and Freyja.
