Dr. Sean K. Padgett was born and raised in the rural north Florida town of Perry. Dr. Padgett’s first encounter with chiropractic came at an early age due to a serious low back injury from playing football. He was grateful and amazed at the effectiveness of the care he received to rehabilitate him back to an active life without the use of drugs or surgery. Growing up in a blue-collar community and understanding very well how pain could diminish the quality of life and sometimes ability to make a living for families, he decided as a teenager to pursue chiropractic as a career path.
Dr. Padgett went on to graduate with honors from Florida State University with a degree in Exercise Science and became a member of the national honor society for the human health sciences Kappa Omicron Knu before attending the esteemed Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. Prior to graduation at Palmer, Dr. Padgett was president of the Gonstead technique club, assisting fellow students in adjustment mastery, attended chiropractic outreach trips to Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Vietnam, and acted as Campus Guide ambassador alongside Dr. Rachel Settles. He was nominated for the Clinical Excellence Award and the Virgil Strange Philosophy Award as well as awarded multiple clinical service and student leadership awards.
Upon graduation of Palmer in 2014, Dr. Padgett’s passion for the outdoors took him to Denver, CO where he practiced until 2017 before moving to Spokane, WA and practiced there until 2021. It was during this time Dr. Padgett had the privilege of caring for a wide range of clientele from days old to over 100 years old, from commuters to world-class rock climbers, and from simple aches to severe injuries. In 2021, based on the opportunity to collaborate with his close friend, Dr. Rachel Settles, and to be closer to his family, Dr. Padgett and his wife Aurora decided to move back to his home state of Florida to devote his skills to the place that grew him.
Dr. Padgett has developed a method of treatment that is structured but personal and strives to fuse excellence with kindness. He utilizes his expertise in anatomy and physiology to look at the body in a holistic way and takes into account the client’s specific goals, habits, physical ability, and stress factors in order to develop a treatment plan that is specific to the client. Dr. Padgett is not only versed in treatment of the spine but also of the extremities as well and enjoys guiding patients through chronic or acute pain in their shoulders, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, jaw and any other extremity. His passion is showing clients how improvements in strength, coordination, and flexibility equate to more than just pain relief, all while utilizing the power they’ve had inside them all along!
Away from the office, Dr. Padgett is a life-long practitioner of the martial arts, a yoga practitioner, and a lover of the outdoors. He can be found most weekends with his wife on a canoe or a hiking trail. That is unless he’s blazing the backroads on his motorcycle.
