Make one of nature’s best remedies for chest congestion!

Quarter about 5 onions, the smellier the better, and cover them in water.  Add a hefty amount of rosemary and thyme.  Cook low (not boiling) for about 2 hours and strain.  The onions will sweeten as they cook, add honey to taste.

The onion enzymes that get released from the slow cooking are the secret; it’s not worth freezing the extra; make a new batch each time.

The recommended dosage for children is 1 Tbsp every hour for 4 to 24 month-olds and 1 Cup every hour for children over 2.
